Analytical services

The Chemistry department offers several analytical services, including mass, NMR and elemental analysis. If you are interested in using one of the services, please read the instructions carefully and fill in the corresponding analysis form.

MASS Service

The mass spectrometry service (MS) is provided by the department directly. The samples should be sent or be given to:

• Please fill in the MASS analysis form.

NMR Service

The nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy service (NMR) is provided by the department directly. The samples should be sent or be given to:

• Please read the instructions.
• Please fill in the NMR analysis form.
• Available NMR spectrometers.
• Available workstations.

ELEMENTAL ANALYSIS Service

The elemental analysis service (CHNS) is provided by the "Ecole d'Ingénieurs de Fribourg" EIF-ISF. Samples should be deposited at the secretary's office of the EIF-ISF at the attention of:

Instructions: Duly labelled samples (>10 mg) should be submitted in 1 ml vials (black screw-caps)together with filled analysis forms. Filling the analysis form: for billing purposes, it is important to indicatethe name of the University, the institute, and the research supervisor under "Mandant / Autraggeber". For example"UniFr, Chimie Organique, Bochet". Please use on of the following forms:

Single crystal diffraction service

The single crystal diffraction service (SC-XRD) is provided by the FriMat. The samples should be sent or be given to:

• Please fill in the form.
• Description of the equipment.
• Phase identification is also possible on powder diffraction.
